Senior Estimator (Strong Second Tier)

This well known Australian builder has over 100 years experience in the Queensland, NSW & Tasmanian construction markets. They have an annual turnover in excess of $500 million and employ more than 500 staff. Their projects are as diverse in purpose as they are in location.

Their H obart office is urgently seeking a Senior Estimator with the capability to price and win commercial, retail, resource and defence projects up to a value of $25 million.

Within this role you will take responsibility for:

• Preparing estimates and tenders utilising standard estimating software packages
• Managing the receipt of quotations from sub-contractors and suppliers
• Assisting in the preparation of project programs and preliminaries
• Managing junior estimators
• Reporting to senior management and liaising with potential customers

To be eligible to apply for this role you will have:

• Proven experience in a similar role over the last 5 years
• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Excellent technical knowledge of commercial, retail and government projects within Australia
• Excellent cost planning and estimating experience and the ability to switch between them as required based on the particular client requirement and project stage
• Relevant tertiary qualification in construction, estimating or quantity surveying
